![]() I love the original and I have the bragging rights of completing it several times, but it had some limitations in its presentation and a lot of missed potential for levels and characters. My dream TLK video game would be a big budget open world/platformer hybrid, going through the events of the movie basically the original game translated to 3D but vastly different and upgraded. However, it got me thinking that a style like that would be totally welcome and cool as a video game adaptation, tho with the "realistic" uncanny details toned down and more of a direct translation from the original with the prismatic colors. You know those edits that went viral during the 2019 marketing, where someone took the 'live action' shots and added the cartoony features of the original? Basically translating the 2D characters into 3D? My hot take is that would have been a much worse, more pointless, and more insulting remake as a movie. Ooooh I've always been thinking about this. with all this out the way, what would be YOUR dream Lion King game? Another platform game? Would it be an open world where you can explore the Pridelands and surrounding areas? (would so pay for that btw) And I also missed some more minor PC games, Gameboy, and NES games. all the mobile games that Disney puts out that have the characters in it. ![]() Then you've got more minor ones, such as Timon & Pumbaa's Jungle Games, and Simba's Pride gamebreak.Īnd then. You've got a Pridelands section in Kingdom Hearts II, and Simba also makes multiple appearances throughout multiple entries of the series as a summoning card. ![]() You've got Simba's Mighty Adventure that was made for the Playstation & Gameboy - which took you through the events of both The Lion King & The Lion King II: Simba's Pride You of course have the original game, that was made alongside the movie and came out in the same year - which vaguely takes you through the events of the movie through a series of 10 levels. The Lion King has had it's fair share of games throughout the years.
